Job summary

Bulk Barn in Vaughan seeks an experienced retail leader to drive store performance, hire and develop the team, and ensure compliance with policies and legislation. You will lead efforts to boost operating efficiency, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction on a daily basis.

You will manage staff, address performance, uphold HR policies, and ensure accurate deposits while maintaining exceptional customer engagement and product presentation across the store.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a retail manager.
• 3-5 years of experience supervising and/or leading people.
• 3-5 years in a retail environment (food retail asset).
• 3-5 years servicing and resolving customer concerns.
• Understanding of business fundamentals.
• Post-secondary certificate in business or related field an asset.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more as required.
• Experience with POS and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally, timely and proactively across the store team.
• Lead the store to meet operating policies, revenue goals and customer satisfaction.
• Source, hire, train and develop store staff in alignment with HR policies.
• Address underperformance with documented plans and recognize top performers.
• Resolve issues with staff and report unresolved items to District Manager.
• Ensure daily deposits are prepared and delivered to the bank.
• Apply operational requirements and reports to daily store operations.
• Maintain merchandising standards and engage customers to differentiate offerings.
