Qualifications

• Complete Paladin online training courses and obtain a valid security license.
• Flexible availability across weekdays, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• High school diploma or GED; criminology or law-enforcement study is a plus.
• Pass a criminal background check and meet provincial security license requirements.
• Comfort working alone or in teams and follow procedures and routines.
• Act in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor premises to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers as needed.
• Defuse potentially volatile situations and intervene when necessary.
• Write reports when required.

Retail Security Officer(Paladin Security)

Paladin Security is looking to hire Part-Time security professionals for retail store coverage in Shelburne, NS.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must complete three online training courses through Paladin Security and obtain a valid security license
• Flexible availability during the week - days, evenings, graveyard, and weekend shifts
• Class 5 driver's license is an asset but is not mandatory
• Strong observation and communication skills, the ability to maintain self-control and the ability to make quick decisions during emergency situations.
• Must possess a High School Diploma/GED. An additional diploma/degree/certificate in criminology or a law-enforcement related study would be considered an asset
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be 19 years old and meet all other minimum requirements for a security license in the Province
• Should be comfortable working alone or within diverse teams and must be able to stick to procedures and set routines
• Must act in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner
