Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Nanaimo is seeking a Sales Manager to lead front-end and service operations, drive sales results, and deliver an engaging customer experience in a high-volume store.

You will coach teams, enforce SOPs and brand standards, manage POS and Self-Checkout, promote the Loyalty Rewards Programme, and oversee omni-channel services like BOPIS and Same Day Delivery while upholding protection plans and store safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end and service operations to ensure selling behaviours and brand standards.
• Coach and develop team members; provide Manager-on-Duty coverage.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems; drive customer experience.
• Promote and enroll customers in Loyalty Rewards Programme; oversee omni-channel services.
• Oversee Knit & Sew Shop and other programs; support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
