Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Sydney, NS seeks a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, oversee front-end and service operations, and drive KPI achievement through coaching and clear execution of brand standards.

You will manage day-to-day store operations, support MOD coverage, optimize POS and Self-Checkout, promote loyalty programs, and oversee special events like Balloons and Knit & Sew Shop initiatives, while ensuring omni-channel fulfillment such as BOPIS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to coach selling behaviors and drive KPI results.
• Experience managing POS and checkout operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs.
• Drive sales and customer satisfaction through coaching and execution of brand standards.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee in-store events and programs (Balloons, Loyalty, MCC/Extend where applicable).
• Ensure BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution for omni-channel service.
• Train and develop team members across departments.
