Job summary

The Brick is seeking an Operations Manager to join our retail team in Ottawa. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will implement procedures, recruit and coach staff, handle escalated service issues, and drive profitability while maintaining merchandising standards and customer focus.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in supervisory roles within retail, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a track record of leading teams to successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary education an asset.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience in retail.
• 2+ years customer service or sales experience.
• Proven track record in customer service, operations and merchandising.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Flexible to work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Implement and communicate operating procedures and policies.
• Recruit and develop employees; set goals and conduct appraisals.
• Handle escalated customer service issues and provide solutions.
• Increase location profitability and efficiency.
• Maintain excellent store merchandising, detail and customer service.
• Promote teamwork across all departments.
• Minimize errors and ensure data entry accuracy.
• Maintain store inventory levels and accuracy.
• Control and report Accounts Receivable/Payable.
