Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a Retail Operations Supervisor in Alberta to drive sales and operational excellence. You will lead by example, delivering engaging customer service and ensuring brand standards across the store.

As a keyholder, you will supervise merchandising, freight flow, promotions, and front-office tasks, including weekly cash office administration and reporting, while coaching associates for a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in retail.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience with accountability for targets.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization.
• Strength and keen eye for visual merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Model selling behaviors and coach associates to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee inventory, merchandising, backroom tasks, and stock level reporting.
• Training and Development: Support coaching and performance conversations for a sales-focused culture.
• Communication: Facilitate meetings and ensure smooth operations by addressing issues promptly.
• Health & Safety: Support policies, conduct inspections, and maintain a safe environment.
• Administrative Duties: Perform front office tasks including weekly cash office administration and reporting.
