Job summary

Grain Millers in Yorkton, SK is seeking a Retail Forklift Operator to move product safely and maintain packaging flow.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, transfer packaging materials, document activities in the Wow system, and uphold food safety standards. This role requires accuracy and teamwork in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Qualifications

• GED 12 or equivalent education is required.
• 0-6 months of experience preferred.
• Ability to operate electric and propane forklifts.
• Accurate documentation using the Wow inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to move products within packaging and warehouse.
• Perform pre-shift inspections.
• Transfer packaging materials to packing lines and warehouse racking.
• Document inventory transfers and forklift maintenance logs in Wow system.
• Troubleshoot minor forklift issues and report repairs.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper sanitation.
• Follow safety and food safety procedures to prevent contamination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As an Retail Forklift Operator, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our production lines moving efficiently and safely. From managing packaging material flow to clearing pallets from automated lines, you’ll ensure operations run smoothly and product quality is maintained - all while upholding our high standards of food safety and workplace integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safe and efficient operation of electric and propane forklift equipment to move product within the packaging and warehouse areas
• Complete pre-inspections of all forklift equipment before each shift
• Transfer of packaging materials to and from packing lines and warehouse racking
• Accurately complete required documentation using the "Wow" inventory system, including inventory transfers, pallet scanning, bin assignments, and forklift maintenance logs
• Troubleshoot minor forklift issues and report any repairs needed
• Maintain clean work areas and perform daily forklift sanitation tasks
• Follow all safety and food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance
• All other duties as assigned
