Job summary

Grain Millers Canada in Yorkton, SK is hiring a Bulk Loadout Operator to run the load-out systems and ensure shipments meet specifications and food safety standards. You will conduct vessel inspections of railcars and trucks, seal verification, perform minor equipment maintenance, manage samples, and operate a Track-mobile to position rail cars for loading, plus complete required documentation.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Ability to operate and/or acquire certifications in safe operation of railcars and related equipment.
• Knowledge of grain handling and bulk load out systems.
• Work in a grain processing environment with grain dust exposure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel) preferred.
• Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
• Outdoor work in weather extremes.

Responsibilities

• Operate load-out systems to ensure shipments meet specifications and food safety.

Job description

Have Rail Experience and Grain handling experience? Our Yorkton Facility is hiring a Bulk Loadout Operator. This is a permanent full-time position. This position requires shift work (12-hr Modified shift schedule), only Day shifts.

Our plants are located across North America with our Canadian headquarters in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bulk Load out Operator is responsible for operating the load-out systems and ensuring that the product shipped to the customer meets specifications and is food safe. This position will be conducting the vessel inspection of railcars and trucks for outgoing food quality products. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Rail cars and trucks are sealed accurately, perform minor maintenance of equipment as required, manage samples, operating Track-mobile to position rail cars for loading, and completing required documentation. This position is also required to assist other members of the Mill and outside sanitation team with day-to-day tasks or responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Must have the ability to operate and /or acquire any certifications, licenses etc. in the safe operation of railcars and other related equipment.
• Knowledge/previous experience of plant processing/ grain handling operations including bulk load out systems.
• Must be able to work in a Grain processing environment that exposes staff to allergens such as grain dust.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High Attention to detail.
• Strong Organization Skills and ability to multi-task.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel are preferred.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights and confined spaces.
• Must be comfortable working in an outside environment with exposure to weather extremes.
