Job summary

Purdys Chocolatier is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager for our new pop-up shop in Totem Mall in British Columbia. The role focuses on leading daily operations, coaching a team, and delivering outstanding customer service to drive sales and profitability.

You will work closely with the Shop Manager, motivating staff, ensuring brand standards, and contributing to a positive, high-energy store culture. This contract is a 6-month full-time opportunity with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
• Passionate about customer service and creating memorable experiences.
• Enjoy leading and developing others.
• Available days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager in the day-to-day operation of the shop.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and foster customer loyalty.
• Lead, motivate, and coach team members to achieve sales and service goals.
• Help drive profitability through strong merchandising, sales leadership, and operational excellence.
• Ensure the shop maintains Purdys' high standards for presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.
