Job summary

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is seeking an Assistant Manager Of Retail to support Outdoor Elements operations, ensure exceptional guest service, and supervise staff during daily shifts. Lead by example in cash handling, POS accuracy, inventory controls, and merchandising, while coordinating scheduling and training to build a strong, customer‑focused team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Manager with day-to-day Outdoor Elements operations and supervise floor staff.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure completion.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, well-merchandised store with stock levels.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns.
  • Resolve warranty issues with the Retail Manager.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of staff.
  • Train staff on customer service, store procedures, POS, cash handling, and inventory controls.
  • Assist with scheduling, attendance, payroll, and staffing adjustments.
  • Oversee cash-out procedures and assist with POS processes.
  • Assist with receiving, inventory counts, replenishment, and merchandising.
  • Communicate with Retail Manager and other departments about operations.
  • Help implement new procedures and initiatives.
  • Assist with implementing new procedures, systems, and initiatives, and support the Retail Manager with other duties and projects as required.

Make the Retail Manager aware of customer warranty issues and assist with resolving them when appropriate.
