Job summary

Swiss Chalet is seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to lead daily restaurant activities in an urban Toronto setting. You will supervise staff, balance daily cash, manage inventories, and ensure health and safety compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a college-level education, and strong Excel/office software skills. You will plan schedules, train staff, and oversee events in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: College/CEGEP.
• 3–5 years of experience in restaurant operations or management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate daily operations.
• Monitor revenues to determine labour cost.
• Monitor staff performance.
• Plan and organize daily operations.
• Set staff work schedules.
• Supervise staff.
• Train staff.
• Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
• Leading/instructing individuals.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns.
• Provide customer service.
• Manage events.
