Job description

At a Glance

Salary: $30.16 – $32.00/hour (to be negotiated)

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Schedule: Day, Evening, Morning, Night, Weekends – Flexible

Employment: Full-Time Contract / Term

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Winnipeg, MB R3J 0K3 – On-site only

Supervision: 5 to 10 staff members

Budget: Up to $100,000

Experience: 3 to less than 5 years in food & beverage

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of our busy East Indian restaurant, guiding a team of 5–10 staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate daily restaurant operations.
  • Monitor revenues and analyze budget to boost profitability.
  • Adjust food preparation methods and menu pricing to meet budget goals.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching.
  • Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Cost products and services; organize and maintain inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Negotiate supply arrangements with food and product vendors.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or facility rental.
  • Support marketing plans and help implement promotional activities.
  • Address customer complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • A valid Safe Food Handling Certificate and/or Food Safety Certificate.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • A client-focused mindset and a commitment to quality service.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
