Job summary

Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts is seeking a Cook in Banff/Canmore to prepare a wide range of dishes and maintain high standards of food safety and service. You will work under Sous Chef supervision, contribute to station setup, and collaborate with culinary and warehousing teams at Sunshine.

The role requires hands-on cooking, adherence to health regulations, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays. Strong communication and neat, punctual conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a high-volume food service format.
• All food handling / food safety permits are required.
• Strong communication & organization skills.
• Outgoing, positive, friendly attitude.
• Calm under pressure and patient with good decision making.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
• Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays).
• Maintain professional conduct when in uniform, on or off-duty, and online.
• Effectively provide support, and assistance to coworkers.
• Attend and actively participate in meetings and training.
• Must be neat, punctual, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods.
• Oversee kitchen operations setup, cleaning, and organization of work areas.
• Ensure that all food service standards, health and safety regulations, and quality controls are followed.
• Must be hands-on in food preparation and serving when needed.
• Assist with training of kitchen staff and documentation.
• Timely and accurate incident and deficiencies reporting.
• May assist with menu planning, portions, estimates of requirements and costs.
• Assisting with monitoring and ordering supplies.
