Zusammenfassung

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to operate Automated Side-Load trucks on residential routes, perform routine safety inspections, and ensure timely curbside collection of waste and recycling materials.

You will work with Helpers and Supervisors to maintain high service levels, adhere to safety protocols, and support early morning start schedules with potential overtime when needed.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (DZ or above in Ontario) with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (or completion of an accredited truck driving school program).
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy commercial collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive operational standards and flexible to start early and work overtime when needed.

Aufgaben

• Safely operate an Automated Side-Load (ASL) collection truck along assigned residential routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete trip logs and paperwork.
• Collect residential waste and recycling per route schedules and safety protocols.
• Operate hydraulic and compaction systems using proper techniques to prevent damage.
• Report mechanical write-ups, route hazards, or safety incidents to management.
• Maintain high route productivity, customer service standards, and vehicle cleanliness.
• Adhere to traffic laws, bylaws, safety policies, and PPE standards.
• Collaborate with Helpers and Terminal Supervisors to support daily operations.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (DZ or above in Ontario) with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
• Driving Experience: Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (or completion of an accredited truck driving school program).

Responsibilities:

• Safe Fleet Operation: Safely operate an Automated Side-Load (ASL) collection truck along assigned residential routes.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete required trip logs and paperwork.
• Curbside Collection: Collect residential waste and recycling materials in strict accordance with route schedules and corporate safety protocols.
• System Operations: Skillfully operate hydraulic and compaction systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage.
• Reporting & Maintenance: Promptly report any mechanical write-ups, route hazards, or safety incidents to management.
• Service Quality: Maintain high route productivity, customer service standards, and vehicle cleanliness.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, municipal bylaws, company safety policies, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with Helpers and Terminal Supervisors to support smooth, efficient daily operations.
• Additional Duties: Perform other operational duties as assigned by leadership.
