GFL Environmental Inc. in Aurora, Ontario, is seeking a Residential Driver/Loader to operate heavy collection equipment on daily routes, perform safety checks, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

You will work early mornings with potential overtime, follow route schedules, and uphold strict safety and municipal regulations while delivering reliable service to the community.

Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (DZ or AZ) with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
• Driving Experience: Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Equipment Operation: Ability to safely operate heavy collection vehicles and hydraulic packer systems.
• Safety Commitment: Ability to meet safety standards for a safety-sensitive role.
• Reliability: Strong attendance and flexibility for early start schedules and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Manual Side Loader truck along assigned residential routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete trip logs.
• Collect residential waste and recycling per route schedules and safety protocols.
• Operate hydraulic and compaction systems with proper technique to prevent damage.
• Report mechanical write-ups, route hazards, or safety incidents to management.
• Maintain high route productivity, customer service, and vehicle cleanliness.
• Adhere to traffic laws, bylaws, safety policies, and PPE standards.
• Collaborate with Helpers and Terminal Supervisors to support daily operations.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned by leadership.
