Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory is seeking a dedicated residential caregiver to support members in a community residence. You will uphold safety, health, and wellbeing, administer medications as needed, and assist with daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include implementing individual plans, communicating with the director, and collaborating with staff to ensure a supportive environment and strong member engagement.

Qualifications

• Completed high school, grade 12 or the equivalent.
• Valid Manitoba Class 5F driver license.
• Certified Winnipeg Police or RCMP Criminal record check including Vulnerable Sector completed.
• Province of Manitoba Child Abuse Registry check
• Province of Manitoba Adult Abuse Registry check

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of members and staff in a residential setting.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as required.
• Attend to health and medical needs including medication administration and recording.
• Support individuals with daily activities and personal development as outlined in plans.
• Maintain respectful, courteous, and professional interactions with members and staff.
