Qualifications

• RN with a current unrestricted license or eligible for registration.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience in geriatrics/long-term care.
• Experience in managing in a multi-union environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Manitoba health legislation and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident satisfaction and promote continuous quality improvement.
• Assist with assessments and care plans in collaboration with nursing staff.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring and termination discussions for nursing staff.
• Schedule, supervise, and discipline nursing staff as required.
• Promote an interdisciplinary approach to resident care.
