Extendicare is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Canada to enhance nursing practice and patient care in line with provincial standards. You will assess, plan, and monitor care while guiding nursing staff and collaborating with care teams in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence from the Approved Institutions for the province.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the provincial college.
• Experience in Community or long-term care.
• Ability to work independently and in a team and prioritize urgent tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and comprehension skills.
• Creative problem-solving and big-picture thinking.

Responsabilités

• Ensure resident/patient care meets nursing standards and physicians' orders.
• Assist in assessment and monitoring and develop care plans.
• Supervise nursing and personal care staff on the unit.
• Monitor performance and refer issues to the Director of Care.
• Provide direction to the nursing department in the Director's absence.
