Research Events and Communications Coordinator

Under the direction of the Director, External Relations and Communications, the incumbent will organize and coordinate academic conferences and events for the research office and faculty. The role includes providing administrative support for exchanges and partnerships, acting as the primary contact for official visitors to the Law School, and supporting research dissemination through web, social media, video, and marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Community College Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent of 2 years recent experience at York University performing similar tasks. Education equivalency is in addition to experiential requirements.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in event coordination, event marketing, research dissemination, and exchanges coordination. Experience with financial forms, such as Claim for Reimbursement, and desktop publishing software like InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is required. Experience in a research-focused university setting is preferred.
