Job summary

Women’s College Hospital is seeking a Temporary Part-Time for a 12-month period to support a dermatology imaging study using infrared thermal imaging to visualize inflammation and itch in diverse skin tones. The role is 3 days onsite and includes recruitment, imaging, data management, manuscript support, and knowledge translation activities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related field required. Graduate degree preferred.
• Some experience in a health research setting preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Work efficiently under pressure with strong judgement and decision-making skills.
• Previous experience with clinical studies, human ethics protocols is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Access and Word is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Women’s College Hospital to help take dermatological images of patient conditions.
• Assist with submission of manuscripts to scientific journals, including preparing tables/figures and coordinating documents.
• Recruit participants in person and obtain informed consent.
• image, store and curate dermatological images from patient data.
• Create and disseminate knowledge translation materials such as presentations and posters.
• Support research design/ethics understanding and liaise with study team.
• Conduct recruitment interviews via telephone, online or in person and document interactions.
• Prepare detailed notes of interactions with participants and manage data entry/quality control.
• Maintain research files and assist at multiple sites as needed.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes.
• Assist in proposal/progress report preparations and data analysis as needed.
