CIV-Barsatech, part of the Laurentide family, is seeking an Inside Sales Technical Representative to engage industrial customers, analyze needs, and propose technically sound solutions. You will work with engineers and operations to deliver value and drive projects from inquiry to order.

The role emphasizes CAD proficiency, technical communication in French, and collaboration across sales, engineering, and production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • A college diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in technical sales, inside sales, customer service, or another technical role within an industrial environment.
  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent CAD software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with industrial customers by understanding their operational needs and recommending value-added solutions.
  • Analyze customer requirements, technical drawings, and specifications to develop practical, effective, and cost-efficient solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical recommendations while balancing customer requirements, project timelines, and profitability.
  • Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD software to prepare or validate technical drawings that support proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, operations, and production teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and successfully executed.
  • Identify business development opportunities through complementary products, repair services, refurbishments, upgrades, and preventive maintenance solutions.
  • Support projects from the initial customer inquiry through order receipt, ensuring a seamless transition to execution.
  • Serve as the trusted technical resource for customers throughout the sales process.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, customer experience, and business growth.

As our Inside Sales Technical Representative , you'll do much more than prepare quotations.

In this role, you will:

We're looking for someone who has:

WORK LOCATION

La Baie, Quebec, with occasional travel for training purposes.
