Job summary

Fernie Alpine Resort, part of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, seeks a Repair Technician to join our mountain team. Reporting to the Rental & Repair Supervisor, you will perform ski/snowboard repairs and help create a welcoming guest experience.

We offer perks such as lodging/lesson discounts, full mountain access, staff events, food and beverage discounts, and more. Two years in a resort repair shop and POS/cash handling skills are assets.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a ski resort repair shop (asset).
• Knowledge and skill in POS systems and daily cash reconciliation.
• Experience working in a guest service‑focused environment.
• Binding certifications (asset).

Responsibilities

• Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for guests and staff.
• Assist and upsell guests at every opportunity.
• Perform all aspects of ski/snowboard repair service including daily operations maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Provide quality repair service to meet company goals and guest expectations.
• Operate repairs, bindings mounts, and related machinery safely.
• Maintain equipment fleet including maintenance and recording data.
• Assist in generating sales and accurately charging for services.
• Support the company Safety Management Program.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive wage: $18.25-20.00/hour, dependent on experience
