Job summary

Aplin is seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Technical Lead for a 12-month contract with a potential extension. The role focuses on designing and delivering CMDB solutions in a large enterprise, including ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, and data integration with Azure.

You will lead complex CMDB initiatives, set data models, and guide governance to ensure quality and alignment with enterprise standards. Remote work is available in Ottawa, ON.

Qualifications

• 5 years of ServiceNow design/implementation in enterprise environments.
• 3 years with ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, IRE, or Service Graph Connectors.
• Strong experience integrating Azure with ServiceNow CMDB.
• Must have resided in Canada for at least five years.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the ServiceNow CMDB.
• Act as technical lead for complex ServiceNow platform initiatives and CMDB projects.
• Design and maintain CMDB data models, CI classes, relationship models, identification rules, reconciliation rules, and source precedence.
• Configure and support ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, IRE, and Service Graph Connectors.
• Develop integrations using Import Sets, Transform Maps, Integration Hub, MID Servers, REST/SOAP APIs, scheduled imports, and scripting.
• Support Azure cloud discovery and cloud-to-CMDB integration, including data ingestion, reconciliation, and relationship mapping.
• Monitor and improve CMDB data quality through governance, remediation processes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure accurate configuration management and alignment with enterprise standards.
