Job summary

WELLSTAR Technologies Corp. is seeking a Senior Data Migration Specialist to lead EMR migrations for clinics and healthcare organizations across Canada, ensuring accuracy, security, and minimal disruption while moving from legacy systems to WELLSTAR platforms.

You will manage test migrations, data validation, final migrations, issue resolution, and go-live readiness, partnering with the implementation team, vendors, clinicians, and technical contacts.

Qualifications

• Experience with EMR/EHR data migrations and healthcare data environments.
• Ability to balance technical detail with customer timelines, vendor coordination, and go-live readiness.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with scripts, tools, or processes for data movement.
• Excellent communication with internal teams, vendors, clinicians, and technical stakeholders.
• Experience designing tools, scripts, or workflows to support repeatable data migration.
• Awareness of PHI, HIPAA, SOC 2 and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-value EMR migrations for multi-location practices and enterprises.
• Design and maintain migration scripts, tooling, and validation standards for repeatable processes.
• Advocate for product and engineering changes that reduce migration friction and improve scalability.
• Develop migration playbooks including mapping standards, cutover planning, and governance.
• Mentor junior team members and help shape the team’s operating model and capacity.
