Job summary

Aeolus Data Solutions is a boutique data engineering practice serving North American startups and scale-ups. As a Forward Deploying Engineer, you will embed with client teams to design, deploy, and productionize custom data and AI pipelines that run in production environments.

You will tackle unfamiliar architectures, diagnose bottlenecks, prototype practical solutions, and harden them with CI/CD, tests, and Terraform. You own the technical delivery and client relationship end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building and shipping production software and data systems.
• Polyglot engineering with Python, SQL, and at least one modern language (TypeScript or Go).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data tooling.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client teams and partner with CTOs and engineering leads.
• Deploy and productionize data and AI pipelines across client stacks.
• Bridge software engineering and data platforms with robust contracts and reliable end-to-end flows.
• Prototype fast, then harden with CI/CD, testing and infrastructure-as-code.
• Own the technical client relationship and guide production handoffs.
