Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Functional Forward Deployed Engineer who will work directly with clients to understand their business challenges, identify AI use cases, and translate those needs into AI solutions and Proofs of Concept (POCs). This role sits at the intersection of client engagement, solutioning, and AI technology.

The ideal candidate maintains strong communication, presents AI solutions to clients, and collaborates with engineers to deliver POCs.

Qualifications

• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Previous experience working directly with clients and presenting technology solutions, demos, or POCs.
• Ability to confidently lead conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of AI/GenAI concepts and AI solution development.
• Exposure to major hyperscalers: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Experience with modern AI/development tools: GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Python.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to understand business challenges, workflows, requirements, and potential AI use cases.
• Translate business requirements into clear AI solution concepts and POC requirements.
• Partner with Technical Forward Deployed Engineers to build and develop AI solutions.
• Present AI solutions and POCs directly to clients.
• Walk clients through POCs, demonstrations, solution capabilities, and potential applications.
• Communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Gather client feedback and translate back to the engineering team.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current AI technologies and tooling.

We are looking for a Functional Forward Deployed Engineer who will work directly with clients to understand their business challenges, identify opportunities to leverage AI, and translate those needs into tangible AI solutions and Proofs of Concept (POCs). This role sits at the intersection of client engagement, solutioning, and AI technology. The ideal candidate has enough technical depth to understand how AI solutions are built, but their biggest strength is communication. They should be confident speaking in front of clients, asking the right discovery questions, presenting solutions, demonstrating POCs, and clearly articulating how AI can solve a particular business problem.

Roles/Responsibilities

• - Work directly with clients to understand business challenges, workflows, requirements, and potential AI use cases
• - Translate business requirements into clear AI solution concepts and POC requirements
• - Partner closely with Technical Forward Deployed Engineers responsible for building and developing the AI solutions
• - Present AI solutions and Proofs of Concept directly to clients
• - Walk clients through POCs, demonstrations, solution capabilities, and potential applications
• - Effectively communicate complex AI and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• - Gather client feedback and translate that feedback back to the technical engineering team
• - Maintain a strong understanding of current AI technologies, development approaches, and tooling
