Job summary

OpsGuru is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in data, ML, and AI to embed inside customer environments. You’ll own delivery from data discovery to production pipelines and model integration.

The role is highly customer-facing, requiring clear communication with business and engineering teams, and entails building modern lakehouses, event-driven systems, and agentic AI solutions using SDD. Remote first, flexible hours, and competitive CAD compensation, with travel to customer sites

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading distributed data and ML platforms.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication.
• Deep experience with AWS Glue, Spark, Databricks, and Airflow.
• Hands-on with LLMs, embeddings, vector stores, and MLOps.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; additional languages like Scala/Go/Rust/TypeScript.
• Experience with GenAI workflows, SDD, and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Embed within client environments to deliver data pipelines and ML workflows.
• Modernize data platforms into lakehouses and streaming architectures.
• Define spec-driven development for data models, APIs, and tests.
• Build GenAI/RAG workflows and autonomous AI agents.
• Develop CI/CD for data and ML pipelines.
• Provide knowledge transfer and enablement to client teams.
