Job summary

Aramark is seeking a 2nd Cook for a remote lodge near White River/Wawa, ON. You will prepare breakfast meals, follow recipes, and maintain safety standards. Rotation is 2 weeks on site and 2 weeks off, with transportation provided between Thunder Bay/White River to site.

Experience as a cook and food safety knowledge are required; ability to obtain food safety certification is expected. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities in a remote workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (handling, sanitation, storage).
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills in written and verbal form.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes and guidelines.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Cook using methods like bake, roast, broil, steam.
• Serve meals and maintain food safety and sanitation.
