Job summary

Aramark Remote Workplace Services is hiring for a 2nd Cook for a remote lodge near Timmins/Sudbury, ON. You will cook and prepare food following recipes and production guidelines while upholding food safety and sanitation.

Rotation is 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Transportation is provided from Timmins or Sudbury. Pre-employment D&A test and criminal background check are required. This position may involve varied shifts and physical tasks in a remote site.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use knives and other utensils.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam using various methods for meats and vegetables.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food properly following safety policies.
