Placements24 is seeking a Remote Lead Construction Estimator to head our estimating function for projects in the Kimberley region and beyond, working fully remotely. This senior role demands strong cost analysis, bid strategy, and the ability to lead a team from a distance.

You will review plans, develop detailed cost estimates, mentor estimators, and collaborate with project managers and procurement to ensure competitive, profitable bids. Remote work enables flexibility and strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in construction estimating; at least 2 years in lead or supervisory role.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, specifications and construction documents.
• Proficient with estimating software BuildSoft, CostX and Excel; strong grasp of construction methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead remote estimation teams and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for a range of construction projects from conception to tender.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects, ensuring bids are competitive and profitable, contributing significantly to the company's bidding success from your remote workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for all types of construction projects, from conception to tender submission.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify scope of work and required elements for estimation.
• Analyze historical cost data and market trends to ensure estimates are competitive and realistic.
• Develop and manage the estimating team, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to refine estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements
