Evoke HR & Immigration Inc. is seeking an experienced HR consultant to join as an independent contractor. The role starts part-time (20–25 hours per week) with a path to full-time, offering a revenue-share arrangement at about $105–$120 per hour.

Based in Chilliwack, we work with local businesses, municipalities, not-for-profits and more, delivering practical HR support from policies to labour relations. Remote-first with occasional on-site visits.

Qualifications

• CPHR designation, or working towards it.
• Solid generalist experience and a love for the work, with a commitment to staying current with HR best practices.
• Labour relations experience in a unionized environment; direct work with union reps, interpreting agreements, handling grievances.
• Clear, confident communication in reports, sessions, leadership briefings, and union meetings.
• Warm, personable manner and high emotional intelligence.
• Flexible between advising small businesses and larger project teams.
• Curiosity and drive to grow, learning from colleagues.
• Ability to travel for client visits occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Take on a portfolio of small business clients and grow it over time.
• Help clients address workplace conduct concerns, from early resolution to formal investigations.
• Support unionized clients with day-to-day labour relations, with senior consultants on complex matters.
• Work on project teams for larger clients on initiatives like workforce planning, job evaluation, and succession planning.
• Become a trusted advisor to clients, delivering practical HR guidance that fits their world.
