Job summary

Tenfold HR Solutions is seeking a part-time HR Generalist to support multiple client businesses with flexibility and variety. You will work alongside a team of seasoned HR professionals, gaining exposure to HR across several industries.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, 25–30 hours weekly, with opportunities to contribute to policies, payroll, recruitment and employee relations while growing your HR expertise.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in HR is required.
• 3+ years HR generalist experience.
• Payroll experience is an asset.
• CPHR/PCP/CPM designation would be an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create, review and update client HR policies and documents to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues.
• Provide guidance on performance and disciplinary matters.
• Provide payroll support.
• Mentor internal HR Coordinators.
• Assist with terminations and suspensions per client needs.
• Coordinate leaves and training sessions.
• Stay updated on HR laws and regulations.
• Assist with HR projects like job descriptions, compensation reviews, HR audits, and HRIS implementations.

Part-Time HR Generalist

We're looking for an HR Generalist to join our amazing team! Specifically, we are looking for someone passionate about all aspects of HR who thrives on change and variety. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced HR professionals while gaining exposure to a multitude of different companies across numerous industries.

Work Hours

This is a part-time position with anticipated fluctuating work hours averaging 25 to 30 hours per week. This role is well suited for candidates who value flexibility and are comfortable adjusting their hours periodically to support team priorities and workload demands. Future scheduling needs may create opportunities for additional hours, depending on business and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The focus of the HR Generalist role will be to:

• Create, review and update client policies, handbooks, and other documents to ensure they are compliant with the relevant legislation as well as best practice
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues
• Provide advice on performance and disciplinary issues
• Provide payroll support
• Mentor internal HR Coordinators
• Assist with the administration and facilitation of terminations and suspensions per client needs
• Coordinate employee and/or disability leaves
• Administer training sessions and/or seminars
• Keep current with existing and proposed laws and regulations affecting HR practices
• Assist with specialized projects such as job descriptions, compensation reviews, HR audits, and HRIS implementations
• Provide recruitment support
• Provide benefits administration support
• Initiate strategic planning, reinforce processes, and ensure compliance
• Other HR & Administrative tasks, as required

The Minimum Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources
• 3+ years of HR generalist experience
• Payroll experience is considered an asset
• CPHR designation, or interest in pursuing the designation, is considered an asset
• PCP or CPM designation would be considered an asset
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is considered an asset
• Access to reliable transportation to travel from site to site, as necessary
