Job summary

Berkeley Payment Solutions Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting & Finance Operations to own day-to-day accounting, close processes, and a strategic finance transformation.

You will lead a small team and ensure the integrity of financial reporting across cross-border USD/CAD operations. You will partner with the VP Finance on ERP and AI-driven initiatives, while driving process improvements and audit readiness in a high-growth, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Payments industry experience — issuer or acquirer side is acceptable.
• Leadership of a small team, even at a modest scale.
• Track record of process improvement with concrete examples.
• Experience in a scrappy, high-growth environment.
• Audit fundamentals strong enough to lead the audit relationship.
• Familiarity with modern accounting platforms beyond basics and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process end-to-end and ensure timely, accurate statements.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations across the full cycle (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations).
• Serve as audit lead with external auditors and maintain compliance.
• Coach and develop a team of 4 accounting staff.
• Support migration to a new ERP platform during the transition period.
• Partner on finance transformation initiatives, ERP RFPs, and AI tooling adoption.
• Identify and implement process improvements within accounting operations.
