Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. is seeking a Director, Finance to lead a 30+ person accounting group across North America, driving transformation and AI-enabled automation. The role balances strategic oversight with hands-on execution, including IFRS/US GAAP, audits, and cross-functional collaboration to support growth.

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, you will mentor the team, optimize the close cycle, and implement scalable standards for long-term success across a complex platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading multi-layered finance teams in large, complex setups.
• Active Canadian CPA designation with public company exposure (TSX/NYSE/NASDAQ).
• Deep IFRS, U.S. GAAP, close processes, and SOX/ICFR knowledge.
• Experience driving transformation, automation, and large-scale change.
• Familiarity with IFS, Blackline, OneStream, Optro or IT2 is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Sponsor and execute accounting transformation initiatives with AI-enabled automation.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive automation to improve close speed and audit readiness.
• Lead financial integration and disposition accounting during acquisitions and capital recycling.
• Direct accounting operations and ensure accuracy across multiple entity balances.
• Coordinate external audits and oversee SOX compliance; provide insights to executives.
