Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Manager of Finance, Controllership & Projects to join its team in Canada. The role requires leading finance process design, overseeing the close, and driving automation and AI initiatives.

You will partner with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate financial results and scalable controls. Requires a CPA or equivalent experience, a minimum of 6 years in accounting, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
CPA designation considered an asset.
Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience with project management and process design is an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design of finance processes for transitory activities with external parties.
Lead and support the financial close process with strong governance and reporting.
Analyze and present financial information to drive value-add decisions.
Provide guidance on new transactions, projects, and accounting standards.
Review and summarize accounting for contracts, policies and complex transactions.
Drive transformation of financial close via automation and AI-enabled solutions.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, data quality and reporting with cross-functional teams.
