Job summary

Grainger Canada is seeking a Team Member Relations Advisor to provide trusted employee relations guidance across business groups, handling performance concerns, policy matters, investigations, and risk mitigation with neutrality and sound judgment.

You will partner with HRBPs, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent, defensible outcomes and high-quality documentation across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Bilingualism in English and French is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years progressive experience in employee relations, HR business partnership, investigations, performance improvement, workplace conflict resolution, HR compliance, or a comparable advisory role.
• Demonstrated investigation or fact-finding capability, including intake assessment, planning, interviewing, and reporting.
• Knowledge of performance management, policy enforcement, and employment risk concepts.
• Ability to use data, dashboards, and insights to identify risk and recommend practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a consultative TMR partner to leaders and team members on employee relations matters.
• Lead neutral, well-documented investigations from intake through resolution.
• Provide performance consultation to leaders and HRBPs with coaching and documentation.
• Partner with HRBPs to clarify ownership and intake channels.
• Interpret and apply policies and employment laws to promote fair outcomes.
• Manage a varied employee relations caseload with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Use case trends and reporting to identify risks and opportunities for improvements.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to align on outcomes.
• Facilitate or support education on performance improvement, documentation, and escalation paths.
• Support operational excellence by improving templates, tools, and processes.
