Job summary
Westway Feed Products seeks a District Sales Manager Canada to lead sales across Western Canada. The role is remote, home-based in Alberta, with travel to customers and our Lethbridge facility.
You will build relationships in beef, dairy and feed mill accounts, drive new business, manage pricing and contracts, and support distributors. Ideal candidates have 5+ years sales in dairy/beef and a degree in animal or dairy science; strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success
Qualifications
- 5+ years sales experience in the dairy, beef, feed mill or feed distribution industry.
- Bachelor's degree in animal or dairy science; advanced degree desirable.
- Solid knowledge of marketing principles and the ability to apply sales concepts to drive growth.
- Strong analytical skills to research markets, customers and data for account management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with customers and management.
Responsibilities
- Drive new liquid feed business with beef, dairy and feed mill accounts.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships through regular visits and travel across the territory.
- Prepare product pricing, credit terms and sales contracts within established margins.
- Provide technical support and resolve customer issues by coordinating with distributors and production facilities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Coordinate customer orders and ensure timely delivery with production facilities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness.
