Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Disability Case Analyst/Case Manager to support plan members across Canada, guiding them through illness, injury and recovery with a focus on reclaiming independence and a path back to work.

You will assess medical, functional, vocational and psychosocial factors, design recovery and return-to-work strategies, and collaborate with clients, employers and healthcare providers to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset; bilingual support may be required for Quebec.
• A college or university degree in a healthcare field or equivalent work experience is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to make meaningful decisions efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of disability management and/or group benefits is an asset.
• Background in a health-related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Proactively handle a dedicated caseload within set SLAs and turnaround times.
• Respond to emails and calls in a timely manner.
• Assess claims based on contract, medical, and vocational factors.
• Collaborate with plan sponsors, members, providers and internal partners to drive return-to-work or resolution.
• Communicate benefit-related information with analytical reasoning.
• Show resiliency and empathy when delivering difficult claims decisions.
