Job summary

Manulife Financial in Toronto, ON seeks a Rehabilitation Specialist to support complex disability cases. You will coordinate return-to-work efforts, manage STD/LTD claims, and maintain ongoing communications with health care providers to facilitate timely interventions.

Responsibilities include developing vocational rehab plans, coordinating external providers, and contributing to client meetings and national presentations on effective communication within the Rehab team.

• Develop, monitor and implement innovative vocational rehabilitations services and goal orientated rehabilitations plans for claimants in receipt of short and long term disability benefits.
• Coordinate the services of external rehabilitation and medical management providers.
• Contribute to the overall profitability of Group Disability by facilitating timely return to work for claimants. Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide reports outlining recommendations.
• Participate in client meetings as part of the team representing Manulife Financial. Deliver web based presentations to National Rehab team on the topic of Effective Communication.
