Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Head of Performance Marketing to lead the PPC and SEO function. You will oversee the PPC and SEO strategists, setting channel strategy, quality standards, and overarching performance across accounts.

This is a management seat with client-facing responsibilities and cross-channel accountability. You will not build campaigns; your depth in paid media and SEO guides decision-making, audits, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
• Experience owning performance reviews and coaching staff.
• Ability to manage client-facing portfolio and multi-account workloads.

Responsibilities

• Own channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Set quality bar and audits for work leaving the agency.
• Ensure reporting honesty and GA4 accuracy in client dashboards.
• Lead hiring plan for the department and conduct first-round interviews.
• Escalate and diagnose at-risk accounts and guide the strategist fixes.
