Job summary

MaxMind is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage accounts receivable, drive timely collections, and resolve billing questions. This fully remote role welcomes applicants from anywhere in Canada, with eligibility to work in Canada.

The position focuses on cash flow management, direct customer contact for overdue payments, and collaboration with the accounting team to remove payment blockers.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, including speaking, typing, and writing clearly and professionally.
• Ability to think and discuss issues on the fly.
• Natural inclination toward working with customers.
• Ability to resolve conflicts professionally.
• Comfort with working independently and staying on top of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct communication with our business customers via email, video call, and phone as necessary.
• Independently initiate contact with customers to collect payment on overdue accounts.
• Collaborate with the accounting and operations teams to resolve blockers delaying payment.
• Research and find additional customer contacts to replace expired or nonresponsive contacts.
• Monitor and manage customer PO schedules to ensure timely PO receipt and avoid delays.
• Work with customer invoicing portals to submit MaxMind invoices for payment.
• Maintenance and creation of collection-related internal documentation.
