Job summary

DMC Recruitment Group is partnering with an established Canadian manufacturer to recruit a Business Development Manager. This home-based Ontario role focuses on developing opportunities across targeted U.S. markets through contractor, builder and project-team engagement.

You will work with A&D, Marketing, Technical and Inside Sales teams to capture specifications and move opportunities to revenue, with autonomy and clear career growth in a high-potential territory.

Qualifications

• Sales or business development experience in building materials or construction.
• Experience with contractors, builders, developers or project managers.
• Understanding of moving products from specification to purchase.
• Strong relationship-building across organizational levels.
• Ability to manage a large geographic territory and prioritize opportunities.
• Commercial mindset, curiosity, and pursuit of new opportunities.
• Strong organization and CRM discipline.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Construction Management or related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business across US markets within commercial, residential and institutional sectors.
• Build relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and project teams.
• Support existing pipeline and convert market activity into revenue.
• Identify new projects, customers, and strategic opportunities.
• Develop territory plans for long-term revenue growth.
• Conduct customer meetings, product demonstrations, site visits.
• Collaborate with A&D, Marketing, Technical and Inside Sales teams.
• Maintain pipeline visibility in CRM.
• Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
