Job summary

Axalta is seeking an Account Specialist, Automotive Collision in the Greater Montreal area. This remote, home-office role requires a local presence for onsite visits.

You will manage key customer relationships, develop account plans, and communicate the value of Axalta products and services to drive sales and retention. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in Automotive Refinish, with strong knowledge of collision repair and distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3-5 years of Automotive Refinish industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of the collision repair, commercial transportation and industrial business environment as well as distribution fundamentals.
• French fluency required.
• Bilingual in English preferred.
• Working knowledge of Axalta’s core product lines and repair shop business fundamentals.
• Ability to identify customer needs and respond quickly to resolve problems in a collaborative way.
• Self‑disciplined and able to perform effectively in unstructured and autonomous conditions.
• Presents oneself professionally and considers how actions affect customers.
• Strong team player and supports territory activities and customer needs.
• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary contact for identified customers and builds strong relationships.
• Understands key elements of the business agreement with each customer.
• Develops and executes account plans covering product, color, and services needed.
• Communicates value of Axalta products, color, and services.
• Engages resources to meet customer needs.
• Maintains organized communication with a regular call schedule and documents interactions in SFDC.
• Follows up on issues promptly and suggests process improvements to remove roadblocks.
• Prioritizes tasks to support revenue, profitability, retention, and distributor management with urgency.
• Supports SOPs and promotes Axalta Training Classes and Local Performance Groups.
• Leads paint conversion efforts and coordinates distribution resources.
• Keeps account information and contacts up to date in SFDC.
• Uses SharePoint, Salesforce, MS Office, etc., to boost productivity and communication.
