Job summary

AutoCanada's ACX Whitby is seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our collision centre. In this full-time role, you will inspect, repair, and restore damaged vehicles to factory standards, under tight safety and quality guidelines.

You will review damage reports, prepare repair estimates, perform repairs including dent removal, refinishing, masking, painting, and inspect finished work for accuracy. A 310B Journeyman license and related training are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have 310B Journeyman Body Technician
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program or training
  • Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to those processes
  • Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
  • I-CAR certification training; I-CAR certification is an asset
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving history

Responsibilities

  • Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
  • Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
  • Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job
