Huronia Transition Homes seeks a Relief Crisis Counsellor for Rosewood Shelter to provide immediate crisis counselling to women who have experienced domestic violence, in person and by telephone, within an intersectional feminist and harm-reduction framework.

The role includes intake assessments, safety planning, referrals, and advocacy, with collaboration across teams and supervision. English/French proficiency is required; on-call evenings and weekends may apply.

Qualificações

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline (BSW/MSW preferred) and a minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant work experience.
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• WHMIS

Responsabilidades

• Provide crisis counselling services in person and by telephone in English and/or French.
• Complete assessments and intakes in person and by telephone.
• Maintain safe, supportive environment and safety planning.
• Record statistics and participate in program planning and evaluation.
• Collaborate with team to advocate for women and connect to community resources.
