Job summary

Interior Health in Kamloops is seeking a relief Rehabilitation Assistant (0.79 FTE) to support long-term care clients under the supervision of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.

The role focuses on implementing rehab plans, assisting with patient monitoring, and contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving residents' well-being. This temporary position runs until March 2027 or return of the incumbent.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current valid B.C. Driver’s License if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client.
• The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.
