Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a Casual Rehabilitation Assistant for the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake. This casual role operates with hours that may vary by department needs and includes a schedule of 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, on an as-needed basis.

Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist, you will participate in a multidisciplinary team, executing rehabilitation plans and assisting the therapists in patient

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current valid B.C. Driver’s License if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs under supervision.
• Assist therapists in monitoring and evaluating patient progress.

About the role

Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.
