Job summary

Block, Inc. in Canada is seeking a senior compliance leader to drive the annual Canada Compliance Plan, oversee AML/ATF, RPAA, and consumer protection obligations, and partner with Legal, Risk, Product, and Engineering to implement AI-enabled regulatory solutions.

You will liaison with the Board, regulators, and senior stakeholders, ensuring governance and risk controls align with Block's global standards.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in compliance, financial crime, or regulatory affairs within a regulated payments entity, with senior leadership exposure.
Deep knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF law, RPAA, PCI Code of Conduct, FCAC, PIPEDA, CASL, and sanctions regimes.
Experience presenting to Boards and regulators, and coordinating examinations and audits.

Responsibilities

Act as Regulatory Program Lead for Block's Canadian regulated entities, including governance and regulatory engagements.
Execute the Canada Compliance Plan end-to-end: change management, monitoring, testing, risk assessments, policy reviews.
Manage regulatory commitments, audit actions, and remediation, maintaining risk assessment frameworks and governance docs.
Prepare Board materials and translate regulatory complexity into clear narratives for senior leadership.
Lead cross-functional regulatory programs across Legal, Risk, Product, Operations, and Engineering, including automating processes with AI.
