Job summary

Chubb seeks an AVP, Compliance Manager to partner with the Chief Compliance Officer–Canada in building and sustaining a robust compliance program across Canada, covering regulatory changes, risk assessment and training.

You will handle regulatory affairs, privacy, AML/ATF matters, and governance obligations while supporting complaints handling and licensure activities. Strong collaboration with business lines is essential to success.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years’ experience in legal/regulatory counsel or senior compliance role at a Canadian insurer or foreign insurance branch in Canada.
  • Strong understanding of the P&C and/or A&H insurance business.
  • Lawyer licensed to practice in a Canadian province is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Process-driven and practical approach to regulatory risk management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with common Compliance, Risk, and Governance tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an effective compliance program including issue identification, remediation, risk assessment, training, monitoring and testing.
  • Address regulatory requests, exams, surveys, and prepare responses.
  • Provide regulatory advice on privacy and sanctions/AML/ATF matters.
  • Assist in managing privacy matters and sanctions programs.
  • Support governance by organizing board meetings and maintaining records.
