Job summary

State Street Corporation in Canada seeks a seasoned Vice President, Corporate Compliance to provide independent oversight of regulatory risk across Canadian entities. You will design and enhance the Regulatory Compliance Management framework, maintain regulatory inventories, and advise Boards and senior leaders on compliance matters.

The role demands extensive experience in Canadian regulatory programs, strong leadership, and proven regulator interaction skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of regulatory compliance experience in Canada (regulated and unregulated entities).
• Thorough understanding of compliance programs and governance.
• Proven ability to lead regulator interactions, including management sessions, audits, and requests.
• Strong executive communication skills for materials to senior management, Board and Regulators.
• Experience maintaining compliance program frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Canadian Regulatory Compliance Management framework design and enhancements.
• Maintain inventories of regulatory obligations and provide independent risk oversight across regulatory areas.
• Develop policies, standards, and governance processes to identify and mitigate risk.
• Oversee risk assessments, regulatory inventories, monitoring, testing, and remediation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on business impact.
• Support governance activities including resilience, third-party risk, and enterprise risk initiatives.
• Manage and develop compliance professionals across multiple entities.
